Also captured at Fjorda. It was taken while in the canoe. The sun rays' reflections in the water make it a memorable moment.

Diamonds
Also captured at Fjorda. It was taken while in the canoe. The sun rays' reflections in the water make it a memorable moment.
Fall colors
Leaving school one afternoon I couldn't help myself, but had to capture the colors that met me when I left the building.

In the vicinity of Vøringsfossen
Driving down from Hardangervidda on the western edge. Have just passed one of Norway's most famous waterfalls; Vøringsfossen. Tunnels are plenty in this part of Norway.
Palms - Villa Malla
Great was my surprise when I found palms alongside Oslofjorden. It felt like I was in a different part of the globe.
Fjorda
Captured from the canoe. It is about nine in the morning, and some cabins were hid in the frost smoke.

Morning Light
Captured around 9 in the morning the day after we had our first snowfall one of the last days in October. Again I am just outside the school.

Fall Leafs
Captured just outside the school building. The image is edited to get this effect. One of my favorites.
Hønefoss Bru
The colors are mesmerizing. The center of Hønefoss is ahead of us and the municipal building and the school where I work are behind us.

Towards Gyrihaugen
While following the path towards Gyrihuagen, which offers a breathtaking view over the district, I captured this fluffy scene.

Another one from Fjorda
We still hadn't gone into the canoes paddling our way to the camp of the pupils and I was all over the place capturing those breathtaking scenes that manifested that morning.

Schjongstangen
Captured in the end of August. In front of us is Hønefoss. Many of the city's sports facilities are found in the area where I am standing.
Garntangen
A ten minutes drive from home there is a fast food joint that is located by the highway towards Oslo which offers great burgers and soft ice. This is one of the many scenes upon which you can rest your eyes while enjoying the food.

Jetty
Found this jetty at Fjorda and was able to fumble the canoe in such a position that I could capture it from this angle and thus creating a vanishing point. Besides that, the image is quite idyllic.
Dusk
Almost home from school a week ago this manifested before my eyes. It didn't take me long to stop the cycle, retrieve my cell and capture this almost ethereal sight.

Akershus Festning
This is a section of the old fortress that is located in the center of Oslo. When I was in the army, the Royal Garde, one of our many assignments was to stand guard at Akershus Festning. Our perhaps greatest challenge was to keep out the prostitutes who preferred the location during summer. The image is edited quite a lot to get this effect. I think it came out cool.
Hardangervidda
Driving towards Bergen this beauty suddenly manifested behind a curve. We drove across Hardangervidda which is a unique piece of Norwegian nature. This is in the end of July.
Just Outside School
This is 10 meters from my school's outer wall. The leaves give the image life and depth. Captured a month ago.

Farmland
Okay, okay, I admit it, I have edited the image some, but it came out very cool. I am standing on a gravel road only 10 mins jogging from where I live. Until weights took over my life I used to run in this area quite often during summer. A very pretty spot.
The Archipelago
Taken in July 2011 with my old cell. We camped a couple of nights (in tent....ewwww) in Stavern just outside Larvik. I grew up along the coast in the North of Norway and have a liking for the ocean and its scents. Hønefoss is inland. Even though it is surrounded by amazing scenery it isn't exactly the coast.
Behind the Mall
This is behind our modest mall which is located in the heart of the town. I have enhanced the colors some and I love the effect; how the colors are mirrored at each side of the road.
Villa Malla
It took two hours to drive to this pearl located at the edges of Oslofjorden. They even had palms and it felt as if I was in a different country in a different part of the world. Quite exotic to be Norwegian. Villa Malla is a public space and a restaurant, and you can enjoy the beach and the surroundings without having to pay any fees. You only pay for the food if you want to eat. Art exhibitions are a part of the scheme, but the food was more interesting to a linear Viking math brain.
The River
The municipal building (that ugly concrete thing) is behind me and the center of Hønefoss is half right in front of me. The colors are amazing, and to me this image is the embodiment of tranquility.

Magical
This image is also from Fjorda. We had just arrived there and parked the car. I ran ahead of the others to the edge of the lake eager to capture all the magic I saw all around me. It had been frost during the night and the frost smoke hovered lightly over the water just waiting to be dissolved by the rising sun.
Tyristrand
Standing on my brother's porch a beautiful fall day I captured the serenity and beauty of the farmland surrounding his property.
The Railway Bridge
This old railway bridge that we find not far from the center of the town is quite a beauty. It was in the end of June and the river was going high due to heavy rain and melted snow from the mountains.
Being Artistic
The image was captured in the beginning of October. I live, btw, in one of the houses in the background. I have edited the image some to get this effect, it almost looks like a painting.
The Bridge
This is one of the two bridges in Hønefoss. The ugly concrete building is the municipal building erected in the 60s.

Dronningens Utsikt (The Queens View)
I really wanted to go to this vantage point this summer and capture some images, but I hadn't the time to do so. The solution became to have Natalie drive up the narrow winding road as a part of her training for her driver's licence. The weather was perfect and our tour resulted in some really nice images. The lake is Tyrifjorden, Norway's fourth or fifth largest lake.
A snow village
It was a pretty cold day in the end of February when I stopped the car, went out and captured this magic. It is taken with my former cell, a Samsung Galaxy S1 which only sports a 5MP camera. This is just outside Jevnaker. I had been in Gran in a meeting with my brothers and was on my way home.
The Waterfall
The waterfall and the river divide the town in a southern and northern part. I love how the light is playing in the waves and the water and the foam. The building to the left contains a mini mall on the lowest floor and a gym on the uppermost floor. I work out in a different gym.
Canoes
This one is also from Fjorda. I had paddled ahead back to where the buses would pick up the students, and I was waiting for the rest of the bunch. Suddenly the horizon was filled with canoes, and here I have captured some of them.
Steinssletta
I think it was taken in July. I was practice driving with Natalie so I sat in the passenger seat with both hands free. I have always wanted a "panorama" image of this plain called Steinssletta and now the opportunity bid itself. I took the image through the front window screen with my cell. This area is renowned for its many Viking sites. It is only a 10 mins drive from where I live.
Frost smoke
On our way to Fjorda this spectacle suddenly manifested, and I asked my colleague, who was driving, to stop the car. I rolled down the window, stretched out my hand and captured the moment with my cell.
Fjorda
This is from a area called "Fjorda". It is a genuine beauty. Several of my classes had a school excursion to Fjorda and slept over in tents - from Thursday to Friday. Some of us teachers drove there Friday morning to spend the day with them. We had to paddle canoes to get to where the students camped. This is in the end of September and it was frost in the night. Luckily the sun rose and made it into an extraordinarily beautiful day.
Oslofjorden
Here I am standing at Akershus Festning (fortress), and Oslofjorden is presenting itself from its best side. This is in the beginning of August.
Late summer
The river flows through the town. The image was captured in the end of August. Some of my classes had a "get to know each other" day and we spent the day in the area of the town where most of its sports facilities are found.
Unique light
The image was captured about nine in the morning. It had snowed the day before and this morning the light was spectacular. The building to the left is the school where I teach math.
