Flood

Edited in Photomatix - The river and the waterfall going crazy in the end of May due to heavy rain and snow melting in the mountains.

The Chapel

Edited in Photomatix - The chapel that belongs to Hole kirke.

Bønsnes Kirke B&W

Bønsnes Kirke

Edited in Photomatix - A genuine Viking church from around 1100. The concrete walls are 1 meter thick. The front in wood was erected in the 1860s.

Hole Kirke

Edited in Photomatix - One of the many churches in the district. It was a beautiful day in May.

The End of May II

Edited in Photomatix - The same scene as the one below, but from a slightly different perspective.

The End of May

Edited in Photomatix - From the end of May viewing a flooded Steinsfjorden which is a part of the far larger Tyrifjorden. I like the atmosphere of the scene - peaceful and quiet.

Colorful

Edited in Photomatix - The swan was swimming so slowly that I took the chance and shoot three different exposures of it and merged them into one. The colors are breathtaking. This is in the end of May.

Feeding Swans

Edited in Raw Therapee, an amazing free raw file editor. The swans came so incredibly close to where I stood with my camera. I am only one meter from the feeding swans when the shot is taken. Swans mate for life and these two looked like a couple.

Vestre Ådal

Edited in Photomatix - One late May evening. After the rain had fallen fog hovered over the river and produced this amazing scene.

Running Downhill

Edited in Photomatix - Here I have turned the camera 90 degrees compared to the former image of the river.

Beginning of June

Edited in Photomatix - This is just a couple of hundred meters further down the river compared to the "Cool Down" image.

Cool Down

Edited in Photomatix - A beautiful evening in the beginning of June. This scene is only ten minutes with car from where I live. When the days get really warm some go here to cool down.

High Above II

Edited in Photomatix - This is my favorite of the two images of the railway bridge. This one is more magical and the vanishing point is more accentuated.

High Above

Edited in Photomatix - The railway bridge just before Ask which is ten minutes away from Hønefoss. The image is captured one late evening in the beginning of June.

Flood

Edited in Photomatix - It is the beginning of June and the sun is setting. The river is big due to the flood. The railway bridge is in the background.

Branches

Edited in Photomatix - When the river and the waterfall are flooded these beautiful water branches are given life. The building in the background is the power station that serves the entire town with electricity.

The Northern Edge

Edited in Photmatix - To the right we see apartments for elderly people. This is the northern edge of Hønefoss.

The Bridge into Nothing

Edited in Photomatix - I had never imagined it would come out this well when I mounted the camera on the tripod and shoot three different exposures of this scene.

Hønefoss Skole

Edited in Photomatix - same with this one: shot with Iso 1600. The image shows one of the "children" schools in the district, that is, for children between 6 and 13 years old.

Vesterntangen

Edited in Photomatix - This is from the beginning of June and the river is running high due to the flood. I had forgotten to reset the Iso settings on the camera so this image is captured with Iso 1600 which is far too high in daylight, but the effect was surprising to me. It truly added magic to the image.

On My Way Home II

Edited in Photomatix

On My Way Home

Edited in Photomatix - Heading home from Gol (a two hours' drive from Hønefoss) after having censored another group in an oral math exam. It was a rain heavy day and the clouds hung low. There are some really lovely sights along the road but due to the rain I only captured a few.

Storøya

Edited in Photomatix - I have turned the camera 90 degrees compared to the "Peace of Mind" image. Ahead is Storøya which sports one of the finest golf courses in the district.

Peace of Mind

Edited in Photomatix - On my way home from Drammen after having censored a group of math students in an oral exam. We are only a 15 mins drive from Hønefoss, my hometown. A beautiful day.
